What is the difference between a Tikka T3 and T3x? T3x has a new modular synthetic stock that has interchangeable pistol grips, making it possible to modify the angle of the grip. This allows for multiple shooting positions. Additional grips are sold separately.

Is the Tikka T3x good for hunting?
Tikka T3x Lite
It has the modular stock with interchangeable pistol grips, the foam insert for noise reduction in the stock and the recoil pad, and their metallic bolt shroud and steel recoil lug. Tikka got the weight down under six pounds, which makes it an ideal backcountry gun.
Are Tikka rifles bedded?
On the Tikka stock the action screws hold the action in place on the recoil lug and there is no bedding.

I would stick with Tikka due to that fact it’s more customizable (i.e more aftermarket parts). Sky is the limit on what you want to do with those tikkas. Sako 85 gives you a better stock , better recoil lug, and no plastic magazine, but you lose the drilled and tapped receiver, which limits your scope mounting options.

It feels effortless and utterly reliable. It’s a 2 lug, 70 degree lift design that’s quick to run and still leaves lots of room for a scope. Despite my complaints about the magazine capacity and the flimsy feel to it, the magazine works flawlessly.
