Is CIPM easy?
As far as studying for the exam, the online material provided by the CIPM Association is sufficient and easy to use. Like studying for any difficult exam, you should make a study schedule and stick to it. Some of the concepts are very advanced and take a lot of patience to master.
Is CIPM multiple choice?
The CIPM exam consists of 70 scored multiple-choice items and 20 non-scored multiple-choice trial items, about half of which are scenario-based. The passing score is 300 out of 500 possible points.

How long should I study for CIPM?
You can complete the entire course in 1 – 2 days. However, it may take you more time if you are combining the course with other activities. Also, we advise that you take the time to study our CIPM summary notes before writing the exam. IAPP recommends about 30 hours of self-study.
How many times is CIPM exam in a year?
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has announced that from 2022, it would conduct four (4) online examination diets yearly going forward in March, July, September, and December.
Is CIPM hard to pass?
All IAPP exams are difficult to pass without adequate preparation. For the CIPM exam, you will get 90 multiple-choice questions. Each of the 90 questions will have four options in which you will be required to choose the correct answer.
Is CIPM tough?
The exams are challenging as only ~10% of the candidates are able to clear all three levels. During June 2019, the pass rates for Level I, Level II, and Level III were 41%, 44%, and 56% respectively. The exams are quite difficult as only ~25% of the candidates are able to clear both levels.
How much is CIPM fees?
CIPM consists of a two-level program, i.e., Level 1 consists of 100 questions, and Level 2 consists of 60 questions of duration 3 hours separately conducted in March and September.

Is CIPM harder than CFA?
CFA exams are not as tricky as CIPM exams. An aspirant can complete their CIPM exams in a year if they qualify for both levels in one go. The CIPM Level 1 and the CIPM Level 2 exams are conducted twice a year.
How long does it take to study for CIPM?
The CIPM® Program uses a self-study model that can be tailored to fit your schedule. The program has two levels; exams for both are offered in March and September. Successful candidates report studying an average of 155 hours per exam.
