Are Ethereals Psykers?
Ethereals could be psykers, but that’s just conjecture at this point. We don’t know how they’re controlling the other Tau, it could be pheromone based as well. We know it’s not the jewel has no purpose other than possible psyker qualities.

Only two female T’au have ever been illustrated. The first, Commander Shadowsun, appeared to have a more human face than male T’au; being smoother and sleeker with larger eyes, a nose-like facial feature and a “Y” shaped facial slit. It is not known, however, whether Shadowsun is representative of all female T’au.
Can the Imperium destroy Tau?
Edit: to clarify, the Tau are probably the only opponent the Imperium could completely destroy, based on the Tau’s space travel technology and currently how few Tau there are. As they cannot navigate the warp due to lack of psykers, they can only do short hops that take longer overall to travel the same distance.

Who can Tau ally with?
The Tau can also ally with a range of other armies, from the Necrons to Chaos Space Marines and more; what army you choose to ally with should strictly be based on what you need, or a fluffy combination.
Are Tau physically weak?
Tau aren’t as physically strong as humans, but they also aren’t trained for melee combat, except to break away and escape. It’s not part of their military doctrine. That’s mostly where the idea of them being weaklings comes from.
Do female Tau have breasts?
Both the male and female Ethereal have the same ribstructure. Thefore the female is nude and Tau do not have breasts.
Can Space Marines join Tau?
Not likely unfortunately. Space marines are born and trained only for war and battle much like orks which is why they have no lasting place in the tau empire and the greater good.
Can Tau be corrupted by chaos?
Yes. Keep in mind that Chaos corruption doesn’t happen for no reason. If Tau tech is kept close to Warp or Warp-tech or unholy sites or relics, energies of the Warp will permeate and corrupt it, just as they do with everything around (including bricks, stones and soil).

The Tau are humanoid in shape, although they have hooved feet and four-digit hands (three fingers and one thumb).
