If you look up “patriotic” in the dictionary, there’s probably going to be a picture of Carrie Underwood. The 33-year-old American Idol winner from Oklahoma is proud of her country, and she’s never afraid to show it.
On more than one occasion, Underwood has rocked some sort of red, white and blue attire. During her CMT Music Festival performance of “Blown Away” back in 2012, she rocked a vintage-looking stars and stripes top with a pair of Daisy Duke shorts. She also wore some combat boots that showed off her sexy legs. Her husband, Mike Fisher, is one lucky guy!
When she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry back in 2008, Underwood sang “Keep Us Safe” in honor of all the men and women in the military.
She’s Come A Long Way Since Idol
From a small town girl to one of the greatest voices in country music, Underwood is on top of the world. She has won numerous awards including seven Grammys, 17 Billboard Music Awards, 12 Academy of Country Music Awards and nine American Music Awards.
She has sold more than 65 million records worldwide, according to Billboard. She was recognized by Rolling Stone magazine as the female vocalist of her generation in any genre, by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world and by Billboard as Country Music’s reigning Queen.
For all the NFL fans out there, Underwood will be a part of Sunday Night Football. This is her fourth season performing the opening theme for NBC, and fans can expect a new tune come September.
There’s no stopping her!
