Even when you’re waking up next to the same person every day, it can be surprisingly challenging to describe what they look like to a sketch artist. In fact, it’s pretty hilarious to hear the physical description of these partners and how vague they are which gives the artist a large margin of error for drawing them a bit… askew.
While none of these couples have any reason to have a police sketch of them done, the results opens your eyes to just how difficult getting across visualizations and ideas can be. With all the descriptive words in the English language, none of these couples had the descriptive arsenal to allow the artist to get it just right.
After explaining to the artist what their significant other looks like, they then have to share the image with them. Laughs ensue when they realize how far off they were from getting it right, even though they’re nearly inseparable for years.
How would you describe your partner to a sketch artist? Maybe try avoiding phrases such as “he has like a ferret across his forehead”, “her head is egg-shaped” or “kinda sweet-looking but underlying evil and anger.”
