As you may know, Taylor Swift is taking a hiatus from her demanding job as one of the world’s biggest superstars and instead has been hiding out in Nashville, Tennessee. While it’s thought she’s there to simply escape the paparazzi after a majorly public break-up from Tom Hiddleston, it could actually be to lay low while she creates a new album undetected!
Instead of keeping on the path of pop music, it’s rumored she’s looking back at her country roots for inspiration. The “Bad Blood” singer has reportedly been in Nashville working on her next album since releasing “1989” in 2014. Her sixth album could debut by the end of this year, Entertainment Tonight reports.
Remember the good old days when Taylor made country music? While it could be cool if she took a cue from pop music and dropped a full visual album that somehow was kept a secret this whole time, we do hope it’s in collaboration with other country music stars and icons (a Reba McEntire or Shania Twain duet could be incredible) and that she nails creating a whole new country sound. After all, she’s spent the last few years dominating pop music, and the transition back to her roots is sure to come with maturity as an artist. At least, we hope!
But never forgot that she’s taken home several Country Music Awards and American Country Music Awards including winning the prestigious Entertainer of The Year Award (twice!).
