Matt Stillwell Bio
Matt Stillwell was born in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Sylva, North Carolina. During college, Stillwell played baseball at Western Carolina University where he was an All Conference player on the Catamount’s Southern Conference Championship Baseball teams. Baseball turned into music and Stillwell has since been traveling across the country in his custom wrapped Budweiser bus headlining his own shows, as well as opening for most of today’s country superstars. He lives with his wife, Lindsey, and their two daughters Carolina and Ruby in Knoxville, TN.
Matt released his debut single “Shine” in the fall of 2008. It debuted at #25 on iTunes Country Chart, reached the TOP #50 on Billboard’s Country Charts, and the accompanying music video reached #5 on CMT Pure while breaking into the Top 10 on GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown. The album went on to produce another Top 50 Billboard single in “Sweet Sun Angel” and two more top videos on CMT Pure with “Dirt Road Dancing” and “Sweet Sun Angel”. The first single “Ignition” from his album “Right On Time” reached TOP #50 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart in 2014. Stillwell’s video of the song about the loss of his father, “Hey Dad”, has been viewed over 40 million times online.
As an independent artist, Matt continues to develop a new and fluid music business model, touring nationally and strategically developing markets. Working closely with his sponsors, Budweiser, Ollie’s Bargain Outlets, and Bad Boy Off Road to maximize his exposure through several co-branded projects. His relationship with NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion, Kevin Harvick and KHI Management, has helped facilitate major relationships with major companies. From there Stillwell has helped architect programs with each sponsor.
Stillwell will kick off the Badges For Baseball Tour on April 28 in Los Angeles, CA at Dodger Stadium. The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation’s program puts at risk kids with local law enforcement through sports. Stillwell, using his love for baseball, kids, and law enforcement, will lead clinics at local Boys & Girls Clubs, play a VIP concert partnered with country radio and the MLB team pre-game and be recognized with the kids, cops, and program during the game. The St Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, Miami Marlins, and Kansas City Royals will follow in 2017 with more possible teams being added. This tour will continue into 2018 and beyond.
He will kick off the Bud Brew Tour on April 22 in Ft Collins, CO at the Budweiser Brewery and Tour Center. Working with country radio to create a special brew that the station will brand and debut at the show. In 2016, Stillwell partnered with The Bull’s program director Dusty Adair in St Louis, MO to create the Bull Brew. They debuted the Bull Brew at the Budweiser Biergarten at the Anheuser Busch’s main campus, and The Bull later used the brew on their famous Bull Float Trip late last summer. Other markets for this tour include Jacksonville, FL, Houston, TX, San Jose, CA, and Boston, MA.
Stillwell will be making his TV debut on February 17 at 9:00 PM eastern, on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives that he co-hosted with Guy Fieri. Matt and Guy met at Kevin Harvick’s Foundation event that he played with Jake Owen and Chase Rice. Guy invited Matt out to his filming in Charlotte and Matt ended up being a part of the entire show. Matt will also debut his brand new single, “I Still Got Your Heart” on the show. The single will be released to iTunes and all streaming services on February 16.
