A lot can change in 10 years! Ten ACM Awards ago, Kenny Chesney walked away with both the Vocal Event of the Year award and the coveted title of Entertainer Of The Year while Taylor Swift won Top New Female Vocalist for her very first album.
From a young and single Carrie Underwood to a baby-faced Blake Shelton, you won’t believe how fast time went by after flipping through the gallery below!
1. Taylor Swift
This was the year Taylor Swift was awarded with her very first ACM Award, and she beat out Sarah Buxton and Kellie Pickler for the title. She stole the award with her chart topping singles “Teardrops on My Guitar”, “Our Song”, “Picture to Burn” and “Should’ve Said No” from her first studio album, Taylor Swift.
The blonde beauty was a breakout in country music for more than just her beautiful pipes! Little realize she was recognized for her brains, too. Little fun fact? In 2007, Swift became the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song that made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart and she still holds that record today.
