1. George Strait
George Strait enlisted into the U.S Army from 1971 to 1975 and, while stationed in Hawaii his final two years in service, he was in an Army-sponsored country band called Rambling Country as well as an off-base music group called Santee. You can take the boy out of the country, but you can never take country out of the boy!
